PAUL BARIBEAU
From the USA and on Plan-It-X Records, as recently covered by The Ergs! Acoustic, folk-ish pop songs, but definitely not folk punk. Some of his songs are quite instensely personal and his lyrics are often geniunely moving- "watching paul play live feels like you are sneaking a peek at something you shouldn't. it's too personal. he is so intimate and pure and burning on fire".

RUSS SUBSTANCE
Russ sings ridiculously catchy and often anthemic folk songs that sometimes remind me of Woody Guthrie if he came from Southampton and played in punk bands.

This is on 6th July and will hopefully be outdoors. If it rains, it will still be outdoors, but under cover. The plan is to meet at the Guildford Youth and Community Centre at 7pm, and we'll walk to wherever looks good, quite possibly Stoke Park. I think there might be a book swap which Will is organising while we wait for everyone to turn up, so bring a book along if you want. Oh, and don't be too late, cuz we can't wait around forever. I'll probably put a sign up or something at the youth centre to say where we've gone.
A donation of £3 to go towards petrol for Russ and Paul would be greatly appreciated.
