About Osiris The Rebirth

.. .. Osiris The Rebirth is the brainchild of veteran space-rocker Dave Adams. In 2007, while playing bass with reknowned Hawkwind tribute band Assassins of Silence, he had the thought of resurrecting one of his early bands, Osiris.

First stop was fellow Assassins founder-member Milo Black, another veteran of the music wars with a 20-year recording pedigree covering the entire musical spectrum from A to.... well, about F or Gb maybe. Old Osiris songs were reworked and new songs began to emerge at speed.

After some experimentation with personnel, the band settled as a collective, with Dave and Milo as core members and guest contributions from other artists. Some fruits of this collective approach are heard in the haunting vocals of Bridget Wishart on Starlight Scorpio, the ethereal flute of Nik Turner on Osiris and the blistering electric violin of Cyndee Lee Rule on End of Something.

The debut CD Remnants Of Life features all these and more, marking out the OTR home turf of "Space-Prog" - Hawkwind-esque space-rock, instrumental excursions reminiscent of Ozric Tentacles, and the experimentation with odd meters and varied orchestration typical of prog.

Remnants of Life is now available for download from iTunes, Amazon, eMusic and Napster - the limited edition CD (with bonus track) will be available very soon.... watch this space.
