Influences
As with most bands, each member as their own set of influences. And also as with most successful bands, all members find a way to mix all those influences and make something they can call their own sound.
John's influences are many, but as a drummer, was early influenced by the aggressive style of the punk scene as well as the beginnings of the alt indie scene.
Ernest's also has many influences, but was captivated (like a lot of lead guitarist) by the power of 80's hard rock and metal scene.
Al, being an ex-Army brat, was influenced by many different types of music he heard during his many travels. Being a bassist, bass heavy music like funk, soul, and R&B was an early influence as well as the early bass masters of rock.
Kim too has many influences, but as a singer-songwriter fell in love with the softer side of the alt/indie scene from the beginning and is what inspires her today.
Sounds Like
Alternative-Indie Rock. Melodic yet edgy. Singer/Songwriter at times. You could call it a combination of rock and the best of the alt/indie rock genre of music - it's very emotional both lyrically and musically. Our music is our own, but feel free to compare us! If we get compared to an artist we admire, that's great. But we really just want to be ourselves with our own musical expressions. To further explain...we're trying to do our own thing. Regardless of all the above though, we'd like to think our music sounds even better live...so come check us out sometime - we promise not to disappoint!

OSIRUS® is an all original alt-rock band from Houston, TX, USA whose sounds runs the gamut from alternative-indie to edgy-acoustic rock. OSIRUS released their latest CD entitled Awaken December 10, 2008. Awaken features eight songs. OSIRUS released their first CD "Robert & Family" on March 5, 2003 which also features eight songs. Both CDs contain songs that display an array of styles that creates an original sound for OSIRUS that is all their own.

About this page: I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim.
