Ostracoda are a hard rock outfit from Norwich, UK.
Formed in 2003 by vocalist Dan Kelby and guitarist Adam Syson, they are an established act on the local music scene and have honed their sound over the years from a heavy, dissonant punk beginning to their current incarnation as a melodic hard rock band. Growing up on classic rock music ranging from Queen to Tom Petty, from Guns N Roses to 90s grunge, both Kelby and Syson are great believers in the age-old saying of "the song is all that matters."
With this in mind (and with the band completed by bassist Matt Purland and drummer Joe Hancy), Ostracoda have amassed a strong collection of songs over the course of five self-produced EPs and one DVD, with the latest song 'Pure Nothing' released in Spring 2009. Summer 2008 also saw them produce their first music video for the song 'Other Side', shot entirely on location in Norfolk by Fall Time Studios.
Currently the band are writing material for their next release which will possibly be a collection of demos recorded at their home Pro Tools studio. This will be followed in 2010 by a string of live dates around the UK and a relaunching of their website www.ostracoda.com.

Just dropping by to wish you a Happy New Year and let you know about an event we're holding on Wednesday Jan 14th at The Queen Charlotte Pub in Norwich.
Law expert and founder of Make Wars History, Chris Coverdale, and Ex MI5 Officer, Annie Machon, will be joining us to highlight the illegality of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, exposing the war criminals, and will present various methods by which we can apply pressure to ensure that the existing laws are applied to end the needless killings.
Go to www.eastangliatruth.com/main/?page_id=8 for more information.
It depends how you want the pics. I can send them via msn or something, or upload them onto a facebook album (as i find it easier than myspace). If I upload them onto my myspace I'd wanna watermark them first. And I'm assuming you want the pics before they'd have my logo on them. I do ask that you credit me wherever you use the pics though. Anywho, let me know what would be easiest for you xx
Cheers Dan. We really enjoyed ourselves on Thursday gigging with you guys. Cheers for the support and we'll definitely do something together again soon. Take care and don't be shy
