OSX Fitness had the opportunity to work with Clemson University middle-distance runner Joanie Castagno this past summer. Joanie wanted to increase her speed, strength and over conditioning in preparation for her sophomore XC season. We put her through an intense program for 11 weeks that most football players had trouble following. Just a few short days prior to leaving for the Clemson XC pre-season, the Clemson standout hit personal best accross the board for the following lifts.

Squat - 240 lbs - Bench - 120 lbs - Power Clean - 105 lbs

Not bad for a XC runner standing 6 ft tall and weighing in at only 135 lbs. Great Job Joanie!!

Cross Country Teams Sweep Top Spots at Delaware Invitational

Newark, DE - The Clemson cross country teams had an outstanding Saturday afternoon, with both teams producing team and individual champions at the Delaware Invitational. On the women's side, Baker improved on her career-best finish by taking home top honors. The product of Bellevue, OH posted a season-best time of 18:27 over the rolling 5000m course. Clemson won with a total of 27 points, while Delaware native Joanie Castagno was runner-up in front of her home crowd. She crossed the finish line with a time of 18:28, easily a personal best for the sophomore.

Team OSX wins the 2008 100on100 Heart of Vermont 100 mile relay race for the second year in a row in 9:31:58 with an average mile time of 5:49 for the grueling 100 mile race.
