About me:
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. This is Otama's space... Currently, he lives in southern New Jersey, not far from Philadelphia and works at Catalent as a Controller for two sites.
Some of Otama's favorite things are music, sports (despite his inability to actually play any of them!), and video games (something he actually can do because it largely involves sitting on your ass!). See the list of music and sports on the left. He tries to get to concerts any chance he gets, hopefully with friends, but he's willing to go solo if need be. He writes reviews of every show he goes to in his blog, so if you like some of the music he has listed, you might want to check them out. Most of the shows he gets to will be in the Philadelphia/Atlantic City area with occasional excursions toward northern NJ or down to the Baltimore area. A couple years ago, he "discovered" (woke up to??) the local Philadelphia music scene, which is fabulous! It started with Silvertide, then Pepper's Ghost, and has snowballed from there to other great bands like IKE, OutSet, Fooling April, and the rest. Check out the many links in the music section on the left. You should be able to find something you like! And check the calendar for upcoming shows he plans/hopes to get to.
Other than that, Otama's a pretty boring guy... He's an accountant - what did you expect??
That's about it... Hope you enjoy your stay, and check out some of the links on the page if you're interested.
Hey Jim! Hope to see you at our first show of '09 with Tom! IKE is doing a special acoustic show at BLINKIN LINCOLN (6080 Ridge Ave. in Manayunk/Roxborough) on Fri. 3/27 with Shovelhook (also acoustic), Susan Steen, and Amanda Thorpe! We start recording our new CD two days after that, so we'll be playing a lot of the new songs along with some old faves. It would be great to see you if you can make it!! I'll bring the peaches... John
The Steelers I believe had the last tie in 2002. I only read the Cardinal Health here on the Space. I vaguely remember the ties before that. At least I was better than McNabb.
