The YWAM Thailand Outreach Teams Department, seeks to bless and serve long-term workers, ministries and churches and to see outreach teams be effectively and strategically utilized as we desire to see Thailand become a nation for the Kingdom of God! Since we formed the YWAM Thailand Outreach Teams Department in 2001, we have seen tremendous growth these last 5+ years. We have seen annual growth of approximately 20+ teams, and now host 120+ teams per year.
The YWAM Thailand Outreach Teams Department is the big front door that we ask all outreach teams to come through. In the past, there was no door, with only a random, non-strategic approach. Now that we have a front door, we can give outreach teams the big picture of YWAM Thailand, building relationships with each YWAM team, YWAM base, church or school that comes our way, encouraging future long term relationships, doing general cultural orientation about Thailand, Thai people, Thai church ministry etc, educating teams on safety & security issues, while also giving opportunities to learn how to be a part of what God is doing here in Thailand, not just now, but in the future as well. We want each outreach team and outreach team member to know how they can be a blessing, how they can pray for the Thai churches and YWAM Thailand ministries, and give them opportunities to learn how they can support some our 80+ full time Thai staff!
