Others, also known as a new Star on the sky of Hungarian electronical music.
Two good friends had an idea to redream and remake the concept of a club night: Others. The three totally fanatic, creative musicians where in the centre of attention for years because they don’t play the same tracks nor the same way, but with a greater creativity and moving on a larger scale for the audience as your everyday disk jockeys.
People who visit the Others parties, go strait down the rabbit hole in to a totally different world. Naturally, the best and latest electronical dance tracks
are in the centre of the party, only in an OTHER way! In the whole night lasting show of these guys, the tracks only serve as a base for the music, the mixer becomes an instrument in their hand, and with the help of it, they recompose the music, thus creating melodies and rythms never heard! Because all three of them can easily satisfy the audience at any time of the party their order of appearance always differs. What is their secret? It’s really simple: because they also originate from the club audience, they know, better to say feel when what kind of sounding, tune, or rhythm is best for the audience.
The two names behind the Others: Peet and Peter Kersak.
Peet is the youngest member of the trio who has also been playing music since he was a kid. As a kid he was responsible for the parties at school, so then he could also conquer the biggest party places of Budapest (E-play, Képi Blanc, E-Klub). His creativity just didn’t let him rest and after he met with (back than known as Snoopy) Peter Kersak, soon he started creating his own music. The lot of time spent together, the nights talked over and the unbelievable will to do something led the mto their first track together. The hit track Eclectica - O'Spectra since then became legendary... with Nathan K – the trio were in a really good mood, touring around the country and sometimes had some appearances abroad. This is how they visited the Pacha, the Home, the Palace, and the B 52 in Sopianne or the Renaissance parties in Romania.
The carrier of Peter Kersak is in an international stage astonishing. As a teenager his partner in walkman mixing in the back desk of the classrooms was non other than Nathan K. He got from the Playhouse Café in Váci street to the well known international publisher, Bedrock in a flash, after that without a stop, got behind the DJ desk of the Tokyo super Womb. He also played at the Pacha which had it’s grand opening in the Fall of 2001, where the promoters of Rui Da Silva (who also appeared on stage) got interested in him. Soon he found himself on the world tour of Pacha the Futuro, he’s been at the biggest electronic music happenings such as, the Miami WMC-t, The Pacha in Ibiza and in Mallorca and also the Creamfields festival. In Liverpool in 2002 he joined the Dutch mean –dream DJ agency and with their help he got to Cape town, Johannesburg and to Bahrain.
The terrific trio now leads the Hungarian club culture, and will redraw the map of electronic music! This summer they are only entertaining the people as the “sailors” of the Dokkoló party ship, also the got invited to the Kecel Fest. In this year the busted in with a hit on the side of Hybrid, next time they are going to appear with the prog-house legend Satoshi Tomiie on the famous Sensation in Budapest.
Big plans are witing to be done because the team also wants to entertain the always hungry international and Hungarian audience with a track made together. According to their past they’ve got a great chance to do it because two songs of their own label got in to the DJ sets of Chris Fortier and the Grammy award winner Deep Dish. The Others is that exact „Something-other”, that the party people and fans of the nice modern dance music have been waiting for – and not only in Hungary!
