About me:
I've both been in bands and worked with them since I was 14. Very little matter to me as much as music. I am fortunate I make a living in it.
I have done quite a bit in the biz. I was music director of the college station KUNV in Las Vegas for a few years. Also was a DJ there and at the college I graduated from, WWU just north of Seattle in Bellingham, WA.
I've worked for labels, such as Nitro and Favored Nations. Getting to work with "Art of Drowning" AFI was awesome, as well as punk legends such as The Damned and TSOL. Favored Nations is Steve Vai's label and has a lot of legends like the Yardbirds and Eric Johnson. I also spent time in audio engineering, video post-production (I still occasionally edit/author music DVDs) and as a guitarist.
I've played in a number of bands, most recently Halfcocked who were signed to Dreamworks and Corky which was a Hollywood punk band playing a few originals but mostly our favorite Zeke and Dwarves songs. 15 songs in 19 minutes, was a great live show.
My primary focus these days is running a music industry new media marketing + promo company I founded in 2003 called On Target Media Group. As our company literature so succinctly states:
On Target Media maximizes digital placement for artists by securing online publicity at high-profile web destinations and implementing Internet-based grassroots campaigns.
Basically we generate buzz, get traffic to websites, grow email lists, brand an artist, and increase CD sales. We do this through online publicity, reviews, contests, interviews, podcasts, blogs, viral marketing, online radio, and advertising campaign management.
We've worked with artists ranging from legends on the majors to developing artists on niche indie labels. We've had the pleasure of marketing artists such as Ringo Starr, Van Morrison, Primus, Neil Young, Sarah Borges, JJ Cale/Eric Clapton, Trever Keith (Face To Face), Poncho Sanchez, Loudon Wainwright III, Mötley Crüe, Lindsey Buckingham, The Meatmen, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Lee Ritenour, Chick Corea, The Rippingtons, Steve Vai, Mindy Smith, Yardbirds, Bob Seger, David Pack, Al Kooper, Eric Johnson, Terry Bozzio, Marty Friedman, Steve Lukather, Jamie Oldaker, Fell Far Behind, Billy Sheehan, Neal Schon, Mike Keneally, The Dillingers, Christian Scott, Erin Boheme, Taylor Eigsti, Danny McGuinness, Chris Opperman, Nadine Zahr, and many more...
Some of our clients: Warner Bros. Records / Reprise, Universal Music / Interscope, Capitol Records, Concord Music Group (Concord, Peak, Playboy Jazz), Vanguard, Sugar Hill, 10th Street, Sony / Serjical Strike, Prawn Song Records, Liberation Entertainment, Favored Nations Records, Boosweet Records, etc...

When I have time, I rock the Kempo dojo.
Who I'd like to meet:
Serious artists & labels who are looking to increase their online presence. Serious means a team, a plan, a story, and some budget.
People who have Murder City Devils live shows (audio or video), collectible vinyl, or other rarities of theirs and related bands. See
www.murdercityvinyl.com
I'd like to be the dealer in a poker game with Tesco Vee, Spencer Moody, Andrew Eldritch, Blag Dahlia, Lee Ving, and the ghosts of Rozz Williams, Ian Curtis, Wally George, and El Duce. Maybe it'd need to be two tables.

"The fifth song [on the Cowley Road E.P.], "Crazy," could well be Skidmore's ticket to the big time. Great hook, old-timey charm, spare arrangement. Hypnotic is what it is....With "Crazy," Gayle Skidmore is one bit of good luck away from hitting the big time."

it was weird.
howz things going out there.
im still in Omaha. its weird, i heard there was a good music scene here, but sofar all i hear are metal bands, (either death metal or kinda pussy poser metal), or Hinder/staind type rock. not a lot of variety. it seems to be either one or the other. where has all the good old punk rock gone?
so what exactly do u do? i hope u r using your powers for good. :)
