Otter Petter is the four-piece rock outfit you'd hate to take off. Formed in Chicago in 2005, Otter Petter delivers “big, bright, hooky tunes with their hearts pinned proudly on their sleeves” (Chicago Reader). Otter Petter's members include brothers Michael (guitar, vocals) and William Pritchard (drums), Raphael Dussaussoy (guitars, keyboards) and Amy Anderson (bass, vocals).
During the last two years, the band has performed throughout the Midwest and East Coast, pausing occasionally to work on new recordings; this resulted in 2008’s full-length, self-released album "Fireflies And Lamp Lights,” which was greeted with glowing reviews. The melodies found within are “devastatingly infectious” (New City), and described as a “perfect blend of roots rock, sugary pop and complex indie rock" (Gapersblock.com).
Otter Petter emerged on the Chicago music scene in 2005 with their self-titled, five-song EP. In 2006, Otter Petter was chosen by the Chicago Tribune as one of 10 bands to compete in the "Metromix Rock 'n' Vote" contest. Readers voted Otter Petter as one of the four winning bands to play a show at Metro in Chicago. Otter Petter has also been featured on CLTV television, WXRT radio, The Chicago Sun Times, The Chicago Reader, Newcity Chicago, The Illinois Entertainer, City Beat Magazine, and musicOMH.com. The band has performed with other notable indie rock/pop bands including The French Kicks, The Rosebuds, Bound Stems and Wheat.
Otter Petter looks forward to releasing a follow-up album to 2008's "Fireflies And Lamp Lights" in late 2009.
