Otto's Daughter is the Creation of European Singer/Songstress Jacqueline van Bierk. OD's sound evolved from a raw goth/industrial origin, to a tantalizing, erotic, dance rock maelstrom. OD has released 3 full length albums, one 5 song EP and an acoustic album and is in the middle of finishing a brand new EP titled "PinkStar" featuring the single Monsters as well as a kick ass cover of...surprise... surprise.
Otto's Daughter has a unique style and sound; puts on an energetic and mesmerizing live show. JVB is seductive, in your face, dangerous and beautiful.
The lastest disc "A New Kind Of Heroine" is a defiant, empowering & energetic collection of songs ranging from heartfelt ballads to dance, radio-ready hits, to flat out crushing rock tunes - all the while managing to retain a common thread and their original identity throughout. Five OD songs have been in regular rotation on Guitar Center Radio nationwide; the song "Everything" was picked by Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins to be on Guitar Center's 2nd Compilation CD entitled "Fresh Cuts Vol. 2"; featuring the Smashing Pumpkins. The video for the song 'Everything' is was featured on MTV2 under Local L.A. On Demand. OD's music has been placed in several indie films, The Discovery Channel and MTV's Realworld (Brooklyn Episode).
Shows and Tours include: The Warped Tour; Nickstock Festival; several opening dates for Type O Negative / Celtic Frost during their 2007 West Coast tour. OD has been featured on air with Frosty, Heidi and Frank on 97.1 FM in LA.
OD has won several awards at LA's Rock City Awards Show for "Best Hollywood Band", "Best Female Performer" and "Best Female Fronted Band". The 5 song EP has gotten great reviews in many well established magazines including Music Connection and Virus.
OD embarked on a 2 month U.S. tour starting late August of 2008 and played a few acoustic shows in Germany.
OD is preparing to release a new single titled "Monsters" in spring 2009; and currently booking another national tour kicking off in fall 2009.
