Influences	Gregory Hamburg was encouraged to learn Middle Eastern Music from Ernie Fishbach who also gave him his first baglama saz lesson. Greg has studied Voice and Instrumental music with Ali Akbar khan and Dr. Sari Dowidar. Persian Singing With Aryan Rahmanian Arabic Singing with Sami Shumays Classical and traditional Persian music, radif, setar and tar with Ashkan Ghafouri Baglama Saz, Persian setar, tar and oud with Mohammad Nejad World music and saz with David Brown Dance with Elizabeth Strong, Sandra and John and Rita of habbiru Turkish Classical and Traditional Music with Sinan Erdemsel and Omar Faruk Tekbilek Drums with Mark Bell , Souhail Kasper and Faisal Zedan Oud with Wael Kakish, Naser Musa and Elias Lammam Studied Afghani music with Matt Wright Studied Andalusian and Moroccan music with Yuval Ron and Rachid Halihal

About Gregory Hamburg

Greg plays Oud, Tar, Setar and Baglama Saz (also called lutes) He is a member of the Nejad World Music Ensemble the Aswat Arabic Music Ensemble
And the Silk Road Caravan

I will be performing in Jan 2009 with ASWAT in their winter concert. It will be conducted by an Egyptian conductor from Cairo: Dr. Sari Dowidar.
Dr. Dowidar is well-known for conducting Arabic Music Ensembles in many academic campuses and conducts his own "Firqat al-Musiqa al- Arabiyya", which performed on July 17 ,2008 at the Opera House in Cairo.
