| About Oui, Mouton |

Oui, Mouton was formed in the fall of 2006. Originally a quintet, the group wasted no time as it began recording and set up their first series of shows. After the December recording dates Danielle Sullivan left the group to focus on her prior endeavors (i.e. Eskimo and Sons, college, etc.) leaving the group to re-evaluate itself. Deciding to strip down their sound they slimmed to the final trio of Ricci Swift, Lizzy Sonenfeld, and Jesse Fox. In February they headed back into the studio and recorded three more songs, two of which ended up on the "Hindsight" cassingle released in June 2007 on Anchor Chain Records. After playing another handful of shows around the Northwest they decided to take a break. Lizzy headed off to Costa Rica, Jesse focussed on his gamelan ensemble as well as his solo pieces, while Ricci began work on a new batch of songs that would move the group in a new direction. By the end of all this, as many families do, the group had begun drifting apart from each other. They officially called it quites in September of 2007 on good terms. Ricci and Jesse took the songs written during that summer and formed Patterns. A complete compilation of the groups recordings might someday be released but right now there's only the cassingle to document these three known as Oui, Mouton.
