PRESSE
Review in the McGill Daily "Vintage sleaze perfect tease", by Johanna Paquin, 3 mars 2005
Suddenly, the 1920s-era theatre darkens, and Mlle Oui Oui Encore struts onto the stage in a black corset, long gloves, and pumps.
There's something about her first tease that has me on the edge of my seat, completely intrigued. I had never seen anything like this in real life before. The music is tantalizing. Mlle Oui Oui Encore's silhouette slips off layers of lingerie one finger at a time. Her tease is classy, yet cheeky. Just when the crowd thinks the vignette has come to an end, she surprises us by tossing off her corset, and exposing the shadows of her nipple tassels. The screen separating us subdues my shock.
HOUR "Encore! The very best of Blue Light Burlesque, Isa Tousignant, 2 juin 2005.
” A couple in which the bo makes his belle's stage corsets has got to know how to put on a burlesque show.
Indeed Blue Eyes and Mlle Oui Oui Encore, or at least that's what the lucky folks who saw the two first Blue Burlesque shows earlier this year, which sold out Le Lion D’Or and then Corona Theatre, said about the brains behind the sexy stage show. So popular were those two nights, in fact, that the troupe is back for a third time with Encore! The Very Best of Blue Light Burlesque on June 9. Now's your chance.”
THE GAZETTE , "Back to the Bump N' Grind" by Micheal Citrome, 24 fév. 2005
"The lights are still dimmed when the music starts ... begins a slow, sensuous bump 'n' grind.
In a few minutes, she'll be down to a pair of pasties and a sequined G-string, with the crowd hooting for more - but that's the end of the act and the essence of the burlesque tease."

"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
