Our Lady Peace is in the midst of finishing our 7th studio album. We've gone about this recording process much differently than any album we've made before. For one, we chose not to work with an outside producer. Collaboration has always been essential to art, especially music, but we felt we needed to keep the collaboration between to the 4 of us. We were very curious to see how the music would end up without any outside influence. "Trust ourselves".... that was the mantra. Safe to say the songs we've recorded so far have been some of the most special and rewarding pieces of music the band has ever put to tape. As far as the actual recording and writing process goes.... we consciously changed that as well. No demo's were made. Our goal from the beginning was to keep the flow in the studio constant. We have tried not to investigate and overanalyze every little detail of the songs. It's been revolutionary, for us at least, to capture the song as soon as it had been written. In doing this we captured a freshness and honesty that we've only hinted at before.
The decisions we made regarding this new record were the right ones. The band is tighter than ever both musically and spiritually. This new music is worthwhile to us and we look forward to you hearing it.

AMAZING album guys. preordered the bonus edition. You guys have such a knack for making unique emotional music. Even though it veered towards being a "mainstream rock" album it still retains the OLP feel and a awesome unique twist. after two listens i can say that OLP is still going strong ;).

why does it say, "Sorry, the video you're trying to access is not available in your country." whenever I try to play any of the videos you recently posted??? I know i"m not Canadian... but I'm still a loyal US fan :)
I see you guys posted Videos today, but when I click them to watch it says "not available to view in your country", NOT COOL, we are just as big of fans here in the States!! Specifically New York, PLEASE make the changes so we can see the videos too!
