Our Malignant Beloved was formed in the spring of 2007. Once together the band wrote some songs, played some shows and quickly gained a local buzz. Only a few months after forming as a band they set off to record their first full length studio album "THE ANTI-SCIENCE" (independently released early 2009).
Since its inception OMB have adhered to a strict practice regime and work ethic that has given the band a true workhorse trait that comes across clearly and heavily in the musicianship, be it in the studio or live on stage.
Along with gaining tons of friends and fans in the process some of 2009's accomplishments include:
~The track "Anomic" featured on (what would be the last issue of) Metal Edge Magazine's March 2009 compilation cd.
~Opened for national acts Ventana & Diecast.
~Placed 3RD in the ZRock94.5/TALA BOTB in Weston, WV.
~Performed in the NoneLouder Slave to the Metal Music Festival w/ Mistress Juliya in Charleston, WV.
~Performed at the national Project Independent Showcase in Huntington, WV
Our Malignant Beloved are currently awaiting the opportunity to quit their day-jobs in order to become full-time musicians. Until then...writing new material and continuing to play as many shows as possible is the law.
