According to a recent study, 4 out of 10 lakes tested in Minnesota are too polluted to meet basic clean water standards. This is bad news if you enjoy any of these things:

To enter the contest, post your photo as a comment on Our Piece of the Planet's MySpace page. Be sure to post in your comment the name of the lake where the photo was taken.

Before heading out to your favorite lake to snap some photos for the contest, go to www.checkmylake.org to make surey our favorite lake isn't polluted!

Contest Rules:
1. Contest is open to Minnesota residents only
2. Contest ends September 8, 2008, at 5:00pm.
3. Contestants will not waive their rights to photo credits for all photo submissions. The winning photo will be featured (with proper photo credit) in Conservation Minnesota and Minnesota Environmental Partnership publications and on the organizations' websites.
4. Regardless of how nice your tan is or how many hours you put in at the gym, no nudity, please -- even if skinny dipping is one of your favorite Minnesota lake activities!
5. Photo submissions must include the name of the lake featured in the photo.
