WHO WE ARE.
Our Secret Sins are a musical experiment from the northeast of England, Teesside to be precise, this is the place that they call home, with all of its faults, all of its virtues, all the highs and all the lows, its weaknesses fuel their strengths, and its strength’s fuel their weaknesses’ .
This is the place they formed with their sights set on making a difference, a difference through music for themselves and possibly a difference through music for anyone who would listen.
OSS don’t conform to any predefined, blue print of what a band should be, do or say, they do things differently, see things differently and they always will, for them its about the music, the people and the freedom, its about bringing people together with one common interest, to put differences’ aside, to feel so alive that you forget the world and all its problems, maybe for just one night, its about you, about life, its about us, about caring, about wanting, about feeling, that together you can do anything, together we can have everything, for together we stand, and divided we fall.
"Choose your path and unite"
OSS are here to preach to all who will listen their own blend of intense string laced, venomous, synth cult pop. they will see you there, Seize the day.
A LITTLE PRESS & OPINION.
"Our Secret Sins have borrowed some of the stirring tunes and heightened drama of spaghetti westerns. Samples, big tunes, a great moustache, a haircut beyond and a real sense of theatre pervades their performance."
ROB NICHOLS, EVENING GAZETTE, AUG 09 (on fringe festival 09)
"With their brooding pop underpinned by a real sense of urgency, they’re the alternative soundtrack to an Irvine Welsh novel; lines about casual sex, violence and feverish drug consumption are lovingly offset with wit, warmth and a feeling of youthful naivety."
ANDREW FENWICK, THE METRO, JULY 09
"Teesside 8 piece that mix styles and fashions with inventive synth noises, crashing guitars and sometimes Beatlesque slick pop overtones."
TEES MUSIC ALLIANCE, JUN 09
"I also particularly recommend their new song “gods army”

INSIDE OUT, DARLINGTON, MAR 09
"The final Saturday Night Social Club of February plays host to undoubtedly one of the finest bands to emerge from Teesside in recent times - OUR SECRET SINS. With a few cheeky plays on BBC 6 Music already under their belt, their mesmorising mix of The Spinto Band, The Stone Roses, Arcade Fire and The Beta Band has been picking up plenty of plaudits over the past few months... and rightly so. We love them. You'll love them too."
TEN FEET TALL PROMOTIONS, FEB 09
"Some wonder-fuelled songs with so much instrumentation there is real depth, shade and colour - and power. Hold on to your hats as the music takes hold and takes off burning with the intensity of an Arcade Fire, the invention of Beta Band and with Beatlesque pop sense and sensibility."when one of the area’s most exciting up and coming acts take to the stage, a band that have been causing major ripples for some time."It’s fair to say that I liked them and those ripples of interest could soon turn into a tidal wave from Our Secret Sins."
ROB NICHOLS, ON THE BEAT, EVENING GAZETTE, LIVE REVIEW JAN 09
"When we first heard Our Secret Sins, we were over the moon! A brand new Boro band full of potential and do you know what, it hasn't taken them long to become fully potent. Imagine a hybrid of Arcade Fire, The Spinto Band and The Stone Roses…"wrap your ears around their rather splendid demos, demos which have already been receiving airplay on BBC 6 Music."
