DIRECTIONS
Summer Lake Hot Springs
The Land:
Located only 2 hrs S.E from Bend, Oregon on Hwy 31. at mile marker 92
Sits 145 acres of ancient land. At the South end of Summer Lake with winter ridge to the west and golden hills to the N.E. the night sky is brilliant, as there is no light pollution or cities within 50 miles either direction. Once you drive along the Oregon Outback as it is referenced, you will notice very few other vehicles and the vistas, moonscapes, waterways, long horn sheep, deer, antelope and of course coyotes are a part of this peaceful drive.
Summer Lake is an ancient area visited by indigenous people for 14,000 yrs. The Hot springs was a place of peace between tribes, coming together in harmony to hunt, harvest an ancient grain and bathe in the healing waters.
The mineral water surfaces at 108-112 degrees and is used to heat the pool and geothermal for several structures on the land.
There are more petroglyphs in this area then anywhere in the Pacific N.W. In honor of these ancient tribes, we're inviting a 21st Century tribe of people, who are interested in learning more about:
