OUTHOUSE RUHABI live @ The ICA, London. 18th May 2008
Outhouse grew out of a series of improvised-music sessions in 2004...in a North-London outhouse. Since then, the band aims at blurring the line between improvised and written music using various blurring devices.
Based in London, the quartet is a core-member of the Loop Collective which is worth checking out on: loopcollective.org
As well as performing extensively as a quartet, the group likes to invite guests. Those have included french singer Jeanne Added, laptopist/bass-guitarist Pierre Alexandre Tremblay, Icelandic guitar-wizard Hilmar Jensson, pianist Liam Noble amongst others.
The group also performs as Outhouse Ruhabi which is a collaboration with five sabar percussionists from The Gambia.
