OUTLAUGH! AMERICA'S QUEER COMEDY FESTIVAL's Comedian Bio

| Bio | Created by Mike Player of The Gay Mafia, the first Outlaugh Comedy Festival was held in July, 2005 at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica, CA. Headlined by Lea DeLaria, the 4-night festival was a smash. A film documentary was made of Outlaugh 2005. Outlaugh! screened at the 2006 Outfest Film Festival in Los Angeles, and in queer film festivals across the country and internationally. The DVD of the film was released in April, 2007 by Wolfe Video.
Outlaugh 2006 was held in October of 06 at the Renberg Theater in Hollywood. Headlined by Margaret Cho, the 3-night 06 event was another huge party, and this time MTV’s LOGO Network filmed, edited, and aired eight 30-minute episodes from the event as a television series, "The Outlaugh Festival on Wisecrack."
The Outlaugh Comedy Festival is set to join Lake Tahoe’s 14th Winterfest Celebration MARCH 1-8, 2009.
OUTLAUGH 2009 joins forces with the Lake Tahoe Winterfest Celebration. Winterfest is best known for its hugely successful Gay and Lesbian ski week.
The talent for Outlaugh 2009 has not yet been set, but Outlaugh creator and executive producer, Mike Player (author of the upcoming Alyson book: “Out on the Edge: America’s Rebel Comics”) promises another stellar lineup.
