Thank you for the article in last week's Outlook in your Transnation section, "Meowth is Dead, Long Live Meowth!" I was saddened to hear of Maddie Blaustein's death several weeks ago as I browsed the internet for Pokemon news (I write a toy column at Pojo.com/pokemon in my spare time). As an Ally and avid reader of Outlook Weekly, I was unaware of Maddie's story until I read the article but found myself inspired by the fact that Maddie was able to find a place in the Pokemon community and hopeful that tomorrow's youth can embrace diversity in the way that it embraced "Meowth." Maddie, you will be missed. Outlook, keep up the good work!
