About me:
First off, welcome to all incoming freshmen at FSU, FAMU, and TCC, and welcome back to all the rest who left for Summer. We have a lot going on here and in our surrounding areas, so don't short-change yourself and not experience some of this in you time here. WFSU lets you know what's going on in this area on the radio, TV, and web (check out wfsu.org for an events calendar and for more on the stations). outloud is where WFSU covers local music.
And this area has plenty of ORIGINAL music. Between the schools, the bar scene, and our location in the American south; we have a little bit of everything. College rock, bluegrass, jazz virtuousos taught by Grammy Award winning faculty, Pulitzer Prize winning composers, African dance and drum masters from around the world convening here once a year, a world renowned Chinese zheng player who has played at Carnegie Hall, zydeco, tango, R&B, hip-hop, funk and on and on. And we bring you as much of this variety as we can- check out youtube.com/wfsuoutloud to see some of this all you can eat buffet of music that is outloud.

Who I'd like to meet:
Musicians and music fans. Especially those in North Florida/ South Georgia.
If you are a musician, and you want to appear on our show, there are a couple of things you need to keep in mind.
1. Let us know you are interested and give us a sample of your music. If you have some recordings on your myspace profile, that will do but if you want to send a CD and/or any press materials (not required, but helpful), you can send them to:

2. We are currently (Fall '07) not in production. We will likely be taping new episodes in the Spring of 2008. Anyone expressing interest in the program will be considered for the next taping cycle.
3. We get more submissions than we have available slots to shoot. We try to select a good variety of genres, and a good mix of well established and up and coming groups. And with limited episodes airing across the Panhandle on WFSU-TV, we will be looking for groups from different areas in our region. We will give all submissions equal consideration as we try to achieve this variety.
