Out of the Bedroom is an open mic session for songwriters every Thursday evening at The Tron in Edinburgh's Old Town. All songwriters - and anyone who wants to enjoy good original music - are welcome! We begin at 8 p.m., so best to turn up an hour early to get a slot. We're downstairs in the cellar bar.
The club has been going since 2001. Our aim is to provide a platform for singer-songwriters to get their songs heard, try out new songs with a sympathetic audience, or make their first tentative steps to performing in public.
While we do have regular performers, we do not want to create a clique, so we take care to ensure everyone gets a fair chance to get heard.
If you Choose to Play on the night, you are assured a warm welcome, and will also be reviewed! Priceless for your website, fliers etc and, who knows, it might even say something helpful.
So far Out of the Bedroom has produced 4 albums showcasing some of the incredible and diverse talents who have appeared on the OOTB stage.
