Out of the Cold is a project years in the making. True musicianship is what it took to form this band. Mike's been writing music since his early teen years when he put recordings together on a 4 track studio recorder. These days, he works on a much more impressive 16 track machine. Mike plays a slew of different instruments, but in Out of the Cold, he plays lead/rhythm guitar and vocals. His musical associates are no slouches either: Pops (Mike Potter Sr.) is a seasoned musician with several fairly successful local bands on his resume of over 30 years in the business. He plays a stylish bass guitar for the band. Steve Poole is a skilled and solid drummer whos been playing since his youth.
The band has released two prior CD's entitled "My Own Grave" and "What Grows Within." The current CD project "Settle" is coming along swimmingly and is expected to be available in 2008. To reach Mike via AIM, his screen name is R16mtp.
