Out-of-Time Productions was the product of a college filmmaking project in 2001, that has flourished into a video production company that includes an editing suite and dubbing house.
The company started off as a joke during Ernie Layug's college days to reflect his first original production titled "3pm". The name has stuck with Ernie throughout his college career and in 2006 with some help from his buddies Canadian Jon and Captain Jessie Sparrow, he started and developed Out-of-Time Productions. The company has grown into a full video company with its creative productions such as "Crazy", "Strange New World", "The Journey: A Road Undiscovered", and "Whodunit - A Murder Amongst Friends".
The flagship production is "The Fan's POV", where Out-of-Time Productions has been given exclusive access to various events for the fans. It's a show by the fan made just for the fan. Its first season consists of going to different anime and comic book conventions throughout the East Coast. Ernie Layug has travelled across the country to give his take on the convention, along with a little help from his friends to help report on the convention and its activities. The 2009 schedule will be released in early November for where the company will be going in terms of conventions.
Documentaries were the primary source of promotion for the company with movies based on experiences of Ernie Layug at conventions and other events. They have been a source of promotion and have helped Ernie to get noticed at these conventions.
