Outset is a Deathgrind band from Natal/RN, Brazil, formed in 2003 by Luiz Cláudio “Luzdeth” (Vocals) and Flávio 'Horroroso” (Guitar), Douglas (Drums) and Dennis Stefanini (Bass). Two songs ("Karmas" and "About Your Life") were recorded for “Natal Metal" compilation. In 2004, Douglas left the band to be replaced by Felipe Nolla. In 2005, The first Demo-cd “Welcome To The Outset” is recorded and distributed by Gallery Productions (CE) and Mountain Distro (RJ), with artcover by Alcides “Burnt” (Sanctifier and Torture Squad), mixed and mastered by Herman “Priestkiller”.
Containing 8 songs plus a Dead Kennedys cover (Nazi Punks Fuck Off), it obtained good reviews, including from the brazilian magazine Roadie Crew. Two songs of this demo were in “Suspiria de Profundis Compilation”. In 2006, pH “Petër” takes the second guitar and Felipe Nolla left the band. After almost two years without a drummer, Douglas rejoined the group. With this line-up, they recorded the second demo entitled “Living The Outset”, in october 2008, with artcover by “Luzdeth”, mastered once again by the “Priestkiller”, with Gallery Productions supporting and Crush Chaos Prod. as a distributor. At the moment, the band is working on the debut Full Lenght cd.
