About me:
Due to unforeseen difficulties, OUTSIDE AT THE OVAL 2007 has been cancelled.
Thank you to all of the acts who applied to participate and the support from people who had such a good time last year and were hoping for more. I can assure you, we did all we could!!!
We intend to be back bigger and better next year, but until then, keep your eye on all things SPACE PLACE and WINTERFEST for the best in Ayrshire Music
OUTSIDE AT THE OVAL - WHAT IS IT???
Picture this . . . . . its a fine afternoon in August, your lying under golden sunshine on a perfect lawn of fresh cut grass. The neds are on the Oval pulling their socks further up over their shiney tracksuit bottoms and the birds and the bees are having sex, or so is my understanding anyway.
Before you stands a forty foot stage, adorned with the finest logos the sponsor of choice can provide. Upon that stage, between 2pm and 10pm let's say, will be performing 10 of the finest bands in the West of Scotland, no, the entire Universe!!!!
"How much can I pay for this bombardment of the senses?", I hear you plea -"T in the Park is £60(ish) and if these bands are the best in the entire universe I'll gladly kill my Granny (The Space Place (Prestwick) Ltd or any of her associates cannot take any responsibility for Granny Killing, Granny Bashing or throwing Grannys from buses, cause you should never do that, hence forth) for my inheritance just to say - I WAS THERE!!"
No, no, little one, as the ancient Greeks used to say, "Do not panicus for thine ticketus for thee maximum rock n' rollus of Outside at the Ovalus" for tickets for this event are merely £10.00!!! I know, I know, slap on a balaclava and a stripey t-shirt cause you're robbin' me!!
Last year featured emerging underground Scottish acts such as Drive by Argument, Sucioperro, This Familiar Smile and Hank Barrick.
Next years festival will take place at a date to be confirmed but that promises to surpass last years event.
