Peter Goetz’s sound is stripped down and soulful. His passionate heartfelt delivery welcomes the audience into his world, his perspective, and his struggle to make sense of it all. Goetz’s style vacillates between acoustic rock and vintage soul. Goetz’s story is unique. He has traveled more than most do in a lifetime. Travel is his muse. While attending UC Berkeley, he landed a part-time job working for the television show, Survivor. Over the past six years Goetz has traveled worldwide as the youngest producer on the show. Most of his songs are reflections of his life on the road.
Goetz also directed, wrote and produced a bilingual documentary feature film about Peruvian World Champion surfer, Sofia Mulanovich. The film, Sofia, is an inspiring tale about one woman’s fight for her lifelong dream. Goetz and his team spent the majority of 2005 shooting across Peru. The film challenged conventional documentary style, which garnered critical acclaim. Sofia was honored at The Newport Beach Film Festival and named best documentary at the 2006 Surfer Poll Awards.
“Music is limitless…the goal is to mold a sound that is most representative of where you stand and what you’re made of.”
Goetz is constantly curious of what lies beyond the horizon and this desire is expressed in his music. He views language as another form of music. He speaks fluent Spanish and Portuguese. Goetz is backed by a collection of international compliments; a Chilean cajón player and a Brazilian drummer combine with an electric slide guitarist to create a fresh new sound.
Most recently, Goetz directed two music videos for two tracks from his EP. The two videos were shot in a week traveling from Venice, California to Manhattan, New York. His spontaneity is characterized by the on-the-fly nature of the videos, using everyday people to tell his story. Goetz is a soulful artist looking to fuse his directorial talents with his music. His passion for artistic expression and his unrelenting determination to make his voice heard embraces the new swell for change. He recently returned from a journey to Kenya and Rwanda on a humanitarian mission/documentary series for www.hopeartists.org. Check the photos. Join the journey!

The Human Spirit is so alike to a Beautiful Flower.. Once we discover that we require but only the Sun shining brightly upon us, the Rain watering the core of our roots, and the freshness of the Air feeding us life, we then Blossom to full growth...reflecting to all the pleasant scent of our inner, God given Creation..
