What do you get when you combine talent, hunger and an extreme passion for the game? You get a concept that is completely Outta Ya Range (O.Y.R)! This is what took place when the universe created 3 stars in 1990 and their galaxies collided years later – producing a musically stellar explosion.
The group is comprised of 3 members: Kaotic (the Heavy-Hitting Hype Man of O.Y.R), Konflict (the Lyrical Lunatic of O.Y.R), and Youngstaa (the Intellectual Icon of O.Y.R). O.Y.R combines 3 unique styles from the 3 diverse artists. Together they create an eclectic sound and a collection of songs that are sure to make you rock – whether young or old.
Konflict, who started rapping in the 5th grade, decided to found O.Y.R. He teamed up with Youngstaa, another young man who had a dream of making it big. When these two rocked the mic for the first time together, O.Y.R was officially formed! When the young rappers were around the ages of 11 and 12, they met another aspiring rapper named Kaotic. When they heard the fire that he spit, he joined the group and O.Y.R was complete.
From an early age, their styles blended together perfectly and they began to attract attention from their peers. In middle school, they began writing songs and performing in shows together. They wowed the audience and had people of all ages on their feet when they performed during the "Youth Live at the Lincoln" show at the historic Lincoln Theater in Washington, D.C. – their first major performance.
Now O.Y.R is about to release their first mix tape, aptly entitled "Ya'll Welcome," - coming soon! The mix tape appeals to all aspects of music. It contains hood bangers, songs for the ladies, songs that deal with real life issues, and of course, club bangers.
