Carrie Haggart, founder, owner, operator, primary care giver and guardian angel at OTP. It's impossible to convey to you the person Carrie is. I have learned that she has a hard time saying "no" to any animal whose life she can save. Her 18 hour days are testimony to her devotion to her "babies." Carrie's wonderful husband Kevin helped realize the dream that is now Out to Pasture Farm & Rescue, Inc. hospice & sanctuary to nearly 100 animals. Together they have created a place where mircales happen every day.

Carrie and husband Kevin relax with some of OTP's babies after a long, hard day. Kevin not only helped Carrie realize her dream, offers his ongoing unconditional love and support, but also built their home (also home to many OTP animals), built the barns for the horses, goats and sheep, and has done so much more to truly earn the title, "hero."
Heroes also include the volunteers, Vets, donors and sponsors who have provided OTP's special needs animals a loving and dignified life; and the brave animals of OTP, who never stop fighting for a great life and never give up on love.

THE PURPOSE of THIS MYSPACE PAGE is to RAISE FUNDS on an ONGOING BASIS for OUT TO PASTURE FARM & RESCUE, INC. Out to Pasture Farm & Rescue, Inc. (OTP) is a family run, non-profit sanctuary/hospice that does only one thing. It helps animals that are in need. Our Mission: is to provide a loving home for animals that are terminally ill, physically challenged, elderly or abused; to provide medical, physical and emotional support for these creatures; and to reinforce the concept that no matter the issue it shouldn’t limit their future life expectancy, or ability to love and be loved!
Our Motto: “When animals are no longer wanted, Out to Pasture Farm & Rescue, Inc. takes them in so that they can live out the rest of their lives loved and in comfort.” Money is needed for the continuance of this sanctuary and hospice. Since all the animals have medical problems and/or are elderly, the veterinary bills are extremely high. In addition, the purchase of food, medication, litter, bedding, diapers for the incontinent and so forth, also adds to the financial burden. Every dollar goes to animal care, and donations are tax deductible. Please help OTP continue creating daily miracles!

Little man
"Little man came to us on December 1, 2000. He has a severe blood sugar disorder and has to be carefully monitored otherwise he will pass out. He came from a home where the owners fought a lot and he was abused. Understandably, because of his history of abuse, it takes a lot for him to trust and feel comfortable with new people. Also, he is one of the tiniest of our special animals but thinks he is the toughest with his fierce little bark." (Carrie Haggart, owner/primary care giver OTP). What matters is that Little man is now in a safe, loving home at OTP, carefully watched, medically treated and loved, and no longer in any danger of abuse. Another OTP miracle/success story, showing what your donations make happen!
We KNOW so many animal rescuers, groups, individuals and animal lovers who do this blessed work can be overwhelmed and underfunded too! It's our goal to build community with people like you who share the common bond of deeply caring for those who cannot help themselves, our animal friends. Let's support each other to help those who have no voice-our animal soul mates. Imagine what we can do working all together!

"Saving Georgia Dogs" works to save the Lost, the Discarded, and the Unwanted Dogs from the Gas Chambers at the Spalding and Coweta Animal Shelters.
As I've been away a long time I've had a chance to read about and watch a lot of documentaries on the terrible impact our economic crisis is having on all non-profit organizations and charities, including animal rescue groups and individuals. Donations are hard to come by. We're feeling this at OTP but so are all the amazing rescues who are among our friends here on Myspace.
For the next couple of months OTP is going to feature as many of our rescue friends (including artists & crafts people) devoted to saving our domestic and wild animal soul mates. Even in these tough economic times, we want to support our fellow and sister rescues by featuring them here, and encouraging you who are not yet among their Myspace friends to become one and support these groups by reposting their bulletins, putting their banners on your own pages, and in any other ways you can. Of course we ask that those of you who are able continue to donate what you can to OTP and all these other devoted rescue heroes.
