OVERDOSE TV was born in 1997, in a south-west town of France. In spite of its average age -which is then 16 years old- the band playing then without bassist, gets very soon an important audience of punks and skins from all their area. One year later, Antonio joins on bass guitar, to complete the band.
They record then their first demonstration, “la mort aux trousses” (death with the cases) and makes its beginning on the national level.
After several shows, Overdose TV singer and drummer leave the band. Antonio and Jimmy decide then not to give up and go ahead with a new drummer and with Antonio on vocals.
They record a second demonstration “pas de place pour nous” (no place for us) with new songs, a much better sound and a new energy. At that moment the band is now taking an important position in the French Streetpunk scene.
In the year 2004 Overdose TV record it's first album entitled “Rockin' Class Kids”, on Worsty records.
The cd is composed by 12 songs of pure streetpunk and a 3 title video recorded live in Bordeaux.
Following that, OVERDOSE TV sets out again on the road and starts touring France and others countries such as Switzerland, Spain, etc. with bands like The Adicts, The Business, Evil Conduct, F-Minus, Deadline, Klasse Kriminale, SS-kaliert, ...
Despite of the obstacles of members leaving, and long lasting separations due to personnal projects, the band has never give up since it first started, 12 years ago.
Today Overdose TV has become stronger than ever, ready to cross borders and spread its voice around the world.
que tal!! Creo que en breve por Ourense, hay que ir concretando fechas en marzo o abril. Por cierto somos muy colegas de los HORS CONTROLE, que los tragimos a tocar a Ourense en Abril, una peña cojonudisima. Un abrazo!
