The early tracks on this compilation were live mixes and 1st takes, originally released as soundtracks to the audiovisual albums Sprinkler Topiary (1992 MPD Re10 VHS. 48mims) & Open (1994 MPD Re12 VHS. 26mins), premiered at Video Plastique in Normandy and London's Pandemonium festival at the ICA and released on the long play video label Music Picture Disc. Screenings at the early Big Chill's and London's Heaven night club introduced audiences to a new form of retinal pleasure as these "sequential paintings" or "Pre-Raphaelite videos" became underground classics.
ELECTRIC PAINT LP (2006)
A collaboration with Andy Dragazis (Blue States), weaving warm guitars and icy electronica into high altitude pop - the result of lots of VJ-ing inspired visual mixing and collaging musical ideas.
"With everything we make we hope to trigger suggestion and memories without swamping interpretation. A place, a time, somewhere between setting off and arriving. At the moment we're mastering various types of visualmusic downloads for post-something / early morning tragedies that should know better, or art loving mid afternoon connoisseurs of sequential beauty."
