For almost 7 years the members of OverlorD have been knocking down doors, and playing for anyone willing to listen. To quote a writer in What's Happening Daytona Magazine, "I've never seen a band more intense about not only playing their music to perfection every time they perform, but making sure that every single person in the audience leaves the place satisfied". That quote describes this band to a T.
OverlorD is Mike "Toast" Rose on guitar and lead/backing vocals, Bruce Jones on bass guitar and lead/backing vocals, Dave Girrbach on lead guitar and Wayne Thomas on drums. The band has seen a few lineup changes, but with the addition of Wayne "Drumzilla" Thomas in the winter of 2006, the band has finalized their lineup, and know that they have exactly what they need to put their music out to the masses.
OverlorD has been a staple at the clubs and bars of Central Florida for all of these years, and have always done so with a definitive goal in mind: Get the music out to the people that NEED to hear it. These are not musicians that are willing to rest on past accomplishments. The band is always striving to reach as many listeners as possible, and plan to continue that trend in 2007.
In fact, as we embark on 2007, the band is gearing up for what should prove to be the year of the OverlorD coming out party. They are currently spending most of their time in the studio, working on their upcoming release, "Pointing Out The Obvious", (working title) and are not cutting corners at any phase of the recording process. The band has retained the services of legendary musician and producer Ronnie Montrose to guide them in the studio for the upcoming album. This release promises to be some of the most groundbreaking work to date for Overlord.
2007 will see the band perform in new markets all over America and possibly the World. The band will, (of course,) be a big part of the annual Bike Week and Biketoberfest celebrations in the Central Florida area, and have tentative dates already scheduled for early March.
