A family affair plus one, the Thompson's have been playing music for most of their lives.
Charlie Thompson, formerly of The Parrots, and Flyin'Blind is revered among musicians in Charleston. He has shared the stage with the likes of the The Allman Brothers, The Byrds, The Marshall Tucker Band, and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, just to name a few.
Charlie's oldest son, Cortie, has been writing music for the past 10 years and has played with bands in Charleston, Clemson, and Big Sky, MT. An established singer/songwriter, Cortie is on the right path to emulating his father's success.
Matt Thompson, the youngest son, has had to make a huge decision to pursue music in Charleston rather than surfing the warm waters of Costa Rica. Matt has developed much of his unique songwriting style from molding reggae, funk, and rock and roll.
After the departure of former Jump Little Children drummer Evan Bivins, Steven Sanifer is Overstood's newest member. Currently making tour stops with Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon, Steven brings a new perspective to the melodic sounds of Overstood. Jazz-trained and back from Nashville, Steven is poised to bring the sound to a new level.
Its all come to be, come check these guys out all over Charleston!
