Nick Gaglia makes an expedition into what it is to act and respectively "not act". His directing style encourages the natural and the real to surface and finds it way in the scene and ultimately on the screen.
Who I'd like to meet: "Over the GW,” written and directed by Nick Gaglia, is a poignant story based on his experience in a cult-like rehab. This film exposes corrupt rehabilitation centers which prey upon vulnerable teens and their parents and are still widespread throughout the world.
Tony (George Gallagher) and Sofia (Kether Donohue) are two troubled teenage siblings from the Bronx. Out of options, their mother brings them over the GW Bridge to a rehab in Jersey. What is meant to be a 30 day stay turns into a traumatic 2 1/2 years in which Tony and Sofia experience abuse, brainwashing, and false imprisonment. The director of the program, Dr. Hiller (Albert Insinnia) leads Tony and Sofia to believe this is the only institution that will keep them sober and if they leave they will die…Instead, the siblings enter into a psychological and physical struggle for their lives!

congratulations on your film! i have yet to see it but should be seing a friends copy sometime this month, and will be asking for the movie for christmas! i am from Pathway Family Center (spin off of straight inc.) and see similarities on your trailer such as...restraining, motivating, and the beginning strip search. what you have done for us survivors is outstanding! thank you for your bravery!
Nick...the movie was fantastic. You did a great job and so did the cast. It was amazing how everyone pulled it off without going through what we went through. Kether & George were awesome. Thanks again ;)
Nick I really appriciated the movie. More then anything that you're doing good. Your family is stronger then ever. Maybe you don't want to hear this, but if we never indored the things we experianced in the past, we would of never become the people we are today, nor know the people that surrounds us! KEEP GOING STRONG, NEVER FEEL LIKE THE PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T SHOW UP THAT THIER PRAYERS AREN'T BEHIND YOU. RIGHT NOW YOUR VOICE IS LOUDER THEN THIERS. THEY MAY BE WEAK RIGHT NOW, BUT PEOPLE LIKE YOU GIVE THEM HOPE AS WELL AS STRENGTH TO CARRY ON.
