About me: Overton Whistles are handcrafted instruments by either Bernard Overton in England or Colin Goldie in Germany.
These instruments are solely made from aluminium and have set the industry standard for Low Whistles. Before Bernard Overton offered his first aluminium Low D, no such whistle existed that was used for traditional Irish Music and the term Low Whistle or Low D is coined after the Overton Tenor D. 40 years on, many other whistle makers have since started making this kind of instrument, yet the Overton is still regarded as one of the best.
You can find more about the instruments at www.overton.co.uk
Thanks so much for the BD wish. I hope you and Colin are happy and well. I am staying busy. I have been songwriting with Emitt Rhodes, still playing with the Arlene Kole band too plus other gigs as they arrive. I will do my best to get some whistle on the upcoming ERhodes project. :) Cheers, Jim
Hi overton whistles, thanks for the add. Joe is loving his latest whistle, not so good for a fiddle player tho while he keeps writting tunes in Gminor,(what ever happend to the good old christian key of D) ah well its always a challenge. Cheers again. OSL

I was very saddened to read of Bernard's passing, but fully realizing what he offered the world of music fills me with joy. I'm so happy that Colin is there to keep the Overton name alive. Peace be with Bernard and everyone who knew him. Blessings.

Very sorry to hear about Bernard passing away. I unfortunately never met him, but I heard a lot of nice stories, among others from Finbar. My condolences, Ian.
Very sad to hear from Margaret, Bernard's wife, of his sudden death during the week. He made a difference in this world. Slán my friend. We'll meet again and rock another world. Finbar
The Irish outlaw Reilly Ramones is not rambling along rainy green Irish valleys. This time he troubles the spotless under the hot Mexican sun and drowns Mariachi trumpets in Guinness. Come and listen to the fine crossover of traditional irish tunes, Rock'n Roll and Hip Hop on the new album "Kind Of Green". www. myspace. com/insearchofarose
