At the age of 11, Owen got his first set of vinyl decks and spent countless hours perfecting mixing skills and making mixes. After the breakthrough of Trance in 1999, a whole new world of music was introduced to Owen and his main influences were from DJs such as Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren and Paul Van Dyk.
Encouraged by his peers he began to put mix CDs together which proved very popular, selling in various shops across Northern Ireland, creating a buzz and a real interest in Owen’s particular music style. It was time to take it to the next level, to unleash this raw, new talent on to the dance music scene and well established clubs such as Club Soi, Portrush and Nation @ The Windsor, Bangor, among others, have opened their doors to support this new, fresh, talent.
Modern influences from such DJs/Producers as Marco V, Funkagenda, Deadmau5 and Sander Van Doorn are what has crafted Owen’s current style of Prog House and Techno. As well as mixing on Serato which gives him the ability to change/edit tracks Owen has dived head first into in the world of digital music production where he quickly got to grips with Ableton Live and is now working on his own productions.
Owen was nominated at the FATE awards for best Northern Ireland club DJ of 2008. He has also received numerous bookings for 2009 already including 4M in Omagh with DJ Mag World Number 22, Kyau&Albert + Sied Van Riel and the newly relaunched System X night.
Recently, Owen’s productions have also attracted the attention of M8 Magazine, who labelled him as “One to Watch” in their February 2009 issue, as well as an appearance on BBC Newsline’s recent story on music in Northern Ireland. His music has been described in DJ Mag’s Pick ‘n’ Mix Section as “Strong underground electro house…Impressive stuff!”
Artists/DJs to support Owen's work so far include Sander Van Doorn, Ernesto vs Bastian, Scot Project, Chris De Seed, Mandy Reid, Manuel Le Saux, Charlie G, Judge Jules, Cor Fijnemann, Tillmann Uhrmacher, Hemstock + Jennings, Dr Willis, Will Atkinson, Fabio Stein, DJ Choose Airwave + Many more.
Labels Owen has been signed to include Bonzai (Belgium), Redux (Germany), Infexious Recordings, Ispirato, Stampgevaar Digital, Couture, Ecology, Underphunk, WA-X and Soultech.
Owen has been busy in the studio for the past few months producing tracks for his new label Voodoo Digital, which had its first release on 25th May 2009 and has been very well received in the dance music world, with the first release from Owen himself reaching number 20 in the www.trackitdown.net download charts. Support on the first 2 releases alone has come from many DJs including Charlie G, Audiojack, Will Atkinson, DJ Preach, Dave Robertson, Ben Nott + Many more.

Owen also has a 2 hour weekly online radio show "Voodoo Sessions" every Tuesday between 2-4pm on www.citybeatradio.org showcasing both his production and mixing talents as well as occasional guest mixes from artists on the Voodoo Digital label and previews of forthcoming releases, and also a 2 hour monthly show on www.danceradioglobal.com named “Rewired”.
Owen has also just finished his first Bonzai Worx DJ Sessions Mix which will be released soon on all portals including Beatport…
