wassup fam, so it's been a crazy ass year, a lot touring and stuff, and the transition to being bi-coastal, but im gonna try to start putting up at least some of my gigs up here on myspace cause i've been slacking.
I am currently going to school at Berklee in boston, but am still in the Bay Area quite a bit to play and track, so i'm available for work on either coast if necessary.
Right now i'm affiliated with a number of different groups and artists, most of them are in my "top friends" down below.

Joshua Hari Brozosky immigrated to Oakland, CA at age eight, from Guadalajara, Mexico. Soon after, he became involved in music, taking up the cello. At age eleven, he became more interested in improvised music, and took up steel drums, guitar, and bass guitar. He switched from cello to upright bass, and begun playing and studying the soul and rock music of the 1960’s and 70’s, as well as popular Caribbean music.
Oakland’s rich tradition of R&B, gospel, and hip-hop culture, would prove to be fertile soil for the budding bass player. Here, he would hone his skills at several local gospel churches and jam sessions. Upon entering Berkeley High School’s prestigious jazz ensemble in 2001, he became interested in traditional jazz and was awarded outstanding soloist awards at Reno and Folsom Jazz Festivals on upright bass.
Joshua also became interested in music education through his involvement with the Young Musicians Program at Cal Berkeley. After beginning as a student of the program in 2002, he was hired as an accompanist and ensemble coach in the spring of 2004. Here, he was given the chance to teach and perform alongside a faculty including: Marcus Belgrave, Herlin Riley, Rodney Whitaker, Patrice Rushen, Wycliffe Gordon, Frank Foster, Carl Allen, Delfeo Marsalis, Ndugu Chancellor, and Stefon Harris.
Since then, Joshua has taught and coached music extensively at the middle school and high school level around the Bay Area. He has also co-taught a series of Hip-Hop master classes in the Berkeley, Oakland and San Francisco school systems. He was also an instructor in the after-school music program at English High School in Boston, MA.
In 2006 Joshua was also active as a musical director and conductor, leading an ensemble and playing both electric and acoustic bass in the musical “BRICKTOP!”. The Jazz/R&B musical ran for six weeks at San Francisco's premiere African-American theater, the Lorraine-Hansberry, to rave reviews.
He is now in his last semester at Berklee School of Music, where he has studied under: Darren Barrett, Terri Lyne Carrington, Joe Lovano, Hal Crook, Ron Mahdi, and Dave Santoro.

wow Josh ~ you are on top of the world right now! i don't know if we will ever cross paths again, but i'm glad i got to meet you, those many moons ago. one day, someone will bring you up in conversation, about how lucky they were to see you some night and how they paid about $6-700 instead of $1000 for their seat, and i can say to them, "yeah, i knew that guy once and i may have gotten to jam with him a few times." i only wish bigger things for you [and you're so young still!] ~ maybe you'll play the first gig on the moon, all via satellite and shit ~ let's shoot for a Grammy first, though;)
