Synopsis: This western tale follows
gunslinger Billy and his beloved whore Bessy as they high-tail it for Old Mexico
to escape the law. Pursued by a one-eyed bounty hunter and his sidekick through
a fantastical desert, Billy and Bessy meet an old-west Vaudevillian, a pair of
French can-can dancers, and a mysterious Mexican guitar player. This surreal
look at the Old West is a mythic journey that combines music, dark humor, and
the ultimate theological showdown. Regional premiere rights still
available.
“An audaciously original playwright, Keyes
whips up a caustic mixture of hate, love, endurance and need as morbidly
funny as it is believable.”

Synopsis: BIG BABY unfurls in a cramped Midwestern apartment
shared by Kile and his diminutive, gray-haired mother, June . This is a
couple with colossal issues, and they wear them like comfortable old
shoes. Mom is a staunch, churchgoing Catholic who endured an abusive
marriage, and constantly fawns over and coddles her grown son. Kile is a
scary bundle of pent-up energy and frustration who paces like a caged
animal, stays medicated on a bevy of drugs, and frequently gets physical
or argues vociferously over the merest trifle. When Nancy, a recovering
heroin addict turned dominatrix, moves in next door, Kile avails himself
of her services and finds them ironically therapeutic. But Kile's
blossoming friendship with Nancy rankles June, who soon pushes Kile to
the outermost limits of endurance.

Synopsis: I Gelosi (The Zealous Ones) lovingly recreates the
world of the commedia dell'arte and tells the story of Italy's first
great traveling theatre troupe. In the late 16th Century the
Gelosi company takes the provinces by storm, thanks to the beauty, wit
and charm of Isabella Andreini, one of the very first women ever to play
on the stage. Invited to perform at the Court of King Charles IX
of France, the Gelosi become the toast of Europe - until they risk the
wrath of the Pope with a virulent theatrical satire. Hounded from
the French Court, the company's fortunes sink, despite the increasing
brilliance of Isabella's talents. Jealousy, madness, and
selfishness tear the company apart. Finally, the Gelosi return to
the poverty from whence they came.
