Hello to all of my friends and heroes all across the pro-wrestling universe. This is your friendly neighborhood internet geek and OWW Editor-in-Chief, Brad Dykens, writing to you with this friendly email to say hello. I’m also taking this opportunity to check in to see how life has been treating you. The reason you are receiving this email is because you have a profile on my website, Online World of Wrestling - a profile which may, or may not, be in dire need of updating. So if you wouldn’t mind, could you take a moment to find your name in the vast Bios section of OWW. The names are listed alphabetically at www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/bios/ If you have any problems finding your name, let me know and I will assist you promptly.
When you’ve found your name, click it (with pride), and check out your exclusive OWW profile. Isn’t it pretty? After you’ve done that, copy and paste the web address into an email and send it to all of your friends to show them how awesome you are (not that they don’t already know). You could also plug it via your myspace, facebook, or twitter account if you wish. Don’t make me beg. Then when you calm down and the pulse of your honor goes back to normal, please let me know if there is anything I can do to your profile to bring it up to date. Help me turn it into the best possible tribute to your professional wrestling career by making sure everything is complete and accurate. Feel free to make as many suggestions or additions as you want, as I am literally begging for you to do so! Do you have something to plug? You’re encouraged to write in and help maintain the information on your profile because, let’s face it, there are about 4000 profiles and I’m only one man. Some of the best profiles are the ones where the wrestler(s) take an active roll in maintaining the info, title histories, and match results. All I ask is that you don’t just reply and say “get the info off my website.” I’m asking for a little effort on your part and that shouldn’t be too much to ask.
Do you like what you see? Take a look around at some other bios of your fellow wrestlers. You’re also welcome to write in with info on other wrestlers so I can update their profiles as well. We feature wrestlers all the way back to the early 1900’s so I’m sure you will find something of interest.
Do you want to share your stories? I love reading stories about wrestlers, especially from the “old” days. I enjoy posting these stories on the profile of the specific wrestler(s) involved. Do you have a good story that you’re just dying to tell? Send it to me and I’ll share it with the world.
We are actively seeking guest columnists. If you’re interested in writing a one-time column, or even a regular column, to be featured on one of the most popular wrestling websites on the internet, then be sure to let me know at oww@onlineworldofwrestling.com
If you’re interested in being a guest on OWW Radio, you can inquire by emailing radio@onlineworldofwrestling.com
You’re also encouraged to let your opinions be heard by joining the OWW Forums at www.onlineworldofwrestling.com/forums/
Have you lost touch with a colleague in the wrestling business? I get a kick out of reuniting wrestlers with past friends so why not let me try for you. What do you have to lose? I have contact with many wrestlers – past, present, and future – but only a small percentage of the overall number. So please help out by forwarding this email to as many of your wrestling friends as possible, as I am aware that not everybody knows that they are being proudly featured on Online World of Wrestling – and I like to think they would be happy to see their profile.
Thank you very much for reading this email and I look forward to further corresponding with you soon!
