About me:
OXFOLK

Oxfolk is a series monthly barn dances with live bands, and callers to guide you through the moves.

TIME FOR A BREAK

Thank you to everyone who has supported Oxfolk over the past 12 months, and helped to make our first season in our new home at Kennington a success. We are breaking for the summer, now - a chance to have a quick breather, go and dance at some other ceilidhs and get ready for next season.

OXFOLK 2009-10

Saturday 10th October - Gentlemen's Evening with PolkaWorks with caller Nick Walden and spot from Sam Jones
Saturday 14th November - Climax Ceilidh Band with caller Pete Rees and spot from Lumbawakk
Saturday 12th December - Christmas Party: Toothless Mary with caller Will Hall and carols from Rising Voices Community Choir
Saturday 9th January - Simon Care Trio with caller Cat Kelly
Saturday 13th February - John Mason School Folk Band with caller Fee Lock
Saturday 13th March - Trinculo with caller Phil Bassindale
Saturday 10th April - Chalktown with caller Barry Goodman
Friday 16th - Sunday 18th April - Oxford Folk Festival - Watch this space for news of the Festival ceilidhs
Saturday 8th May - Belshazzar's Feast with caller Chris Turner

All artists listed are subject to confirmation.

Oxfolk takes place at Kennington Village Hall, just off the A34 and easily accessible by the number 35 bus. It also boasts a beautiful sprung floor and a real ale bar.
