About me:
What can really be said of me? There is nothing I can say that historians and critics have not already said. I am a little on the arrogant side, but...I feel it is usually justified. I am 152 years old this year and I have been dead for one hundred and six of them!

I was born October 16, 1854 and I died in 1900 on November 30th and I am buried in the Pere Lachaise Cemetary. I wrote a number of things you may or may not have heard of; The Picture of Dorian Gary, The Importance of Being Ernest, Salome...to name a few. I was involved in a scandal which landed me in prison for two years of hard labour. I was accused of "gross indecencies" and for writing "immoral" books. There is no such thing as a moral or immoral book. Books are either well written or badly written.

Who I'd like to meet:
People from my past...then again...maybe not. I should like to meet other writers...other dreamers...
