Who I'd like to meet:
My ultimate goal in life is to spread my mission globally to reach the minds, hearts, and spirits of all women. This movement would ideally redirect the altered and jaded mindset that society has branded women into thinking that its view of the "ideal woman" is the absolute. We have been force fed that thin, pretty, and materialistic is the road map to being perfect. Through mediums such as TV, magazines, music, movies, celebrity life voyerism we have accepted as gospel all which is airbrushed, computer generated/altered, sung about, written in books, plastered on billboards, and shown on big screen, block-buster hits. Women compromise themselves everyday, conforming to this image that is a sheer apparition. The reason I am so passionate about this mission is because I stumble just the same, finding myself hypnotized and captivated by life and the distractions that can pull me away from seeing what is truly there. What is truly there is TRUTH, and the truth is what makes you perfect is the intangible you.
Proverbs 31 illustrates a very profound "image" of a woman, simply by describing her intangible, God given gifts; her role in her daily walk through life, her dignity, her strength, her integrity, her trustworthy and enriching nature, her kindness, her cheerful giving, her wisdom, her prowess and preparedness. She is a pilar of strength, physically and spiritually because she is obedient and realizes she comes fully equipped, naturally, to be perfect. She need not be prettier or thinner or richer. However, she must be self aware of her tools. The tools is which she must keep sharp and on her person everyday. The tools to fight the battle against what society views as the ideal woman, and to embrace what was written in proverbs
31.
P31caliber serves as symbolism in a couple of ways. Its is defines as a Proverbs 31 (P31) quality (caliber defined as quality or merit) woman. It also serves as a weapon, for instance a P39 caliber pistol. This weapon (P31caliber) is to be used to fight against conforming to what society has branded into our minds as the ideal woman. We must embrace what was written, a P31caliber woman is a woman we can all relate to now in todays modern world. She is strong both physically and spiritually, she is responsible and prepared, she is kind and gentle, she is supportive and giving, and she embraces her dignity as a gift that will never fade. So, with P31caliber I encourage all to clothe yourselves with this symbol of "strength and dignity" as a constant reminder of the woman you strive to be.
WEAR IT well, but not in vanity or superficiality. LIVE IT everyday, in truth and prosperity!
I choose clothing as my platform for a couple of reasons, mainly because it states "she is clothed with strength and dignity", Proverbs 31:25. This verse creates an image of a woman clothed well but not so much in rich garments but with a poised and tall walk, strength, grace, refinement, self-respect and control. I also feel clothing is a way to keep a constant reminder close to your heart, literally and metaphorically of whom you strive to be. Its a way to reach women through a medium they already embrace, but often times for the wrong reasons. Clothing is frequently used as a status symbol and becomes very superficial and meaningless. My goal is to create a line that is comfortable yet feminine, affordable yet quality so that every woman can wear it symbolically for themselves and inspirationally for others. My designs will be created with every woman of every generation in mind, so that all can benefit from the message and the mission. More importantly so that all can elevate themselves to a higher state of mind and spirit, working daily to become more of
the woman they have truly been called to be and less of what society views they should conform to become. I would love to see this mission in the displays of every womans clothing store, in the pages of magazines, on the backs of influencial women, housewives, and single females to boot. Nothing would please me more to give glory to God by fufilling this message he has instilled in me to share with the world.
