Bio
Costa Rican composer. Chin has studied composition with Alejandro Cardona, Fredrick Kaufman, Aaron Cassidy and Jay Allan Yim. His music has been performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica under conductor Irwing Hoffmann during the Season 2001, the International Contemporary Ensemble, and members of the MAVerick and the NODUS ensembles. Chin's music has also been performed at the III Festival Internacional de Musica Clasica Contemporanea in Peru, the Forum of Caribbean Composers in San Jose, Costa Rica, the SCI National Student Conference 2006 in Arizona and at the ICMSN 2007 at the University of York, UK. Chin has been guest composer at the V Seminar of Music Composition in Costa Rica and at the New Music Miami ISCM Festival 2008. Chin is pursuing a Doctoral degree in composition at Northwestern University since the Fall 2006. -
