.... Opened on December 7th, 2006 the Pacific Aviation Museum will eventually occupy three hangars on historic Ford Island in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Hangar 37 is the first phase of the Museum and contains aircraft from the first year of the United States involvement in World War II. Some of the aircraft currently on display are a Mitsubishi Zero fighter, an Aeronca civilian plane attacked in the air, a Grumman Wildcat, and a Stearman Training plane. An Aviator's tour will take you into the restoration area where a Navy F14, a Stinson L-5, Cobra and Huey Helicopters are housed. Walk the ground that was under fire on the day that Japan launched its surprise on the island of Oahu over 60 years ago.
