Paco Benítez, bajista gaditano, empezó a tocar el bajo en 1983.
Actualmente trabaja como músico freelance, docente. Su disco de jazz-fusion, “Artesanía” (Jaberwocky, 2003), se añade en su discografía a su trabajo como sesionista para otros artistas.
Es profesor de bajo en INSOMNIA SOUND y TABARCA GUITARS.
Paco Benitez is a bass player/songwriter living in Madrid, Spain. Born in Cadiz and raised in Miami, he started playing the electric bass in 1983.
In Spain, he has played for more than a hundred artists in the jazz, blues, pop and rock circuits and recorded several albums and film scores as a sideman.
He is also a music educator and was for a time a contributing writer for Spain..s bass magazine "Bajista", where he interviewed players like Carol Kaye, Nathan East, Billy Sheehan, Richard Bona, Jerry Jemmott, Israel Lopez "Cachao" and Fernando Saunders, among others.
"Artesanía" is up to date his first record as a leader with ten original compositions arranged and produced by Paco.
