Paddy Jones : Everything, all though its pretty much guitar based, I also like to think I can play the saxophone and sing. Every now and then a harmonica or mandolin pops into my hands and I attempt to play and record the results. I also dabble with the keys.
Influences
Growing up I was kind of into generic plastic pop, which I slowly began to realise was the antithis of what music is about, so I listend to anything with loud, heavy guitars in it. Over recent years my taste has developed and I hope in my sound you'd find snatches of Manu Chao, Seeed, Raul Midon, George Gershwin, The Cat Empire, Nirvana, E-Z Rollers, System of a Down, Jewel, John Lee Hooker, Garbage, Flogging Molly, The Levellers, Ani Di Franco, Metallica, Massive Attack, Portishead, Guns 'n' Roses and a whole host of unsigned acts that I have met or gigged with over the years.
Sounds Like
You tell me. I'm not trying to be anything. I hope that what comes into my head forms something cohesive that simply sounds like something worth listening to. Time will judge on this one I guess.
Not really a bio to speak of, just more of a need to create music but without having the ability to stay in a band for more than a year, tends to mean you become a solo artist without giving it much thought.
Hi, stranger. I don't know if you're aware, but someone has hacked your account and is sending dodgy links to your friends. I know because they've done the same to me! If you click on the link, they've got your account. I'm checking the pages of my friends and warning them and I keep seeing more and more! x

Hello there. I've just got around to setting up my songs on a website where people can buy them online instead of at the gigs in the old fashioned CD form, from a dodgy suit case.
Here is the link. Feel free to go have a listen and buy some if you like em. ;)
That'd be sweet if you're back in September - It's my birthday, the big 30 (scary!) no plans as yet but whatever happens there'll be an invite coming your way.
Been out of action a while, dunno if you knew but had few problems with my ears & ringing, infection & congestion etc. - Hopefully be back in action soon!
Also - do you know if the songs we recorded ourselves for j9mm are hosted anywhere? I need to get hold of "Geoff" and "Avec Grande Vitesse" to play to someone but can't find my CD (lost a few in the house move)
