Just me and my guitar for now...but was a part of the short term band (hey let's call it a "supergroup" like the Highwaymen, the Travelling Willburys, etc.) called BUBBLY CREEK. Members included Steve Davern, Eric Leafblad & Jenny Christoforakis (of Johnny Justice and the Southside Railroad), Jim Hart, and Michael Stirk. Why the name Bubbly Creek? For those of you who don't know...Bubbly Creek is a branch of the Chicago River in which they used to dump the cattle and hog carcasses after they were butchered. Evidently it still bubbles to this day because of the decomposition of the offal. But I guarantee you we sounded better than the real bubbly creek smells! We planned to do only two shows, record a cd, and then call it quits. However, will the creek rise again? Time will only tell!

Sounds Like
I do have that deeper baritone voice...a little bit like Johnny Cash. Thank goodness for whiskey & cigarettes...without them I'd sound like Michael Jackson.
Hmmm....let's see...city boy who has come to appreciate REAL country music, especially Johnny Cash, David Allan Coe, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams, Hank III. I started playing at some open mics in my area doing mostly Cash covers (especially since he is in my voice range) and some others as well. Eventually I met some great folks and made some connections with great musicians like: Stolie, Tim Larson, Steve Davern, Gina Gonzalez, Scott Angle, Johnny G, Mark Jourdan, Erik Lauren, and many others. Folks like them have been so encouraging and supportive and have gotten me into the door to play at some places in the great city of Chicago! Lately I have been trying my hand at writing some songs...hope you enjoy them!
