Padre e Hijo is Bob and Joey Weisenberg, father and son. The double album Live at Don Quijote was recorded at Don Quijote restaurant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Bob played for six years.
Also here are two tracks from Bob's 1995 solo album, American Gypsy--"Bulerias" and "Homage to Diego"--from his time living in Spain immersed in the music of Diego del Gastor and other gypsy guitarists.
Live at Don Quijote celebrates not only the music but the restaurant itself, with evocative photos of the original Don Quijote and the Salas family. It is dedicated "to Elena Salas and her wonderful family--for creating the magical place where this music came to life."
